This Chocolate Blueberry Smoothie never gets old!
So when I first began eating healthier my first breakfast attempt was a blueberry smoothie. Since that day I practically became addicted and this is one of the few smoothies that I just never got over. Maybe it is just the combination of chocolate and blueberries and the fact that I can eat it for breakfast.. and it's healthy! AND IT'S CHOCOLATE.. did I mention chocolate for breakfast? Oh well you get the point.
Another awesome thing about this smoothie is the hidden greens. When I say hidden I mean hidden, like you can't taste them at all. They are masked by the other rich flavours. So much so that I was going through the recipe with my partner to make sure I hadn't forgotten anything and he says to me "What, you little sneak! You've been putting zucchini in my smoothie?!" Oh whoops, yeah, but it is delicious in my defence!
Anyway if like me, you live in Australia or anywhere where the weather has been stupid hot lately then this is just what you need. I go all out and top my smoothie with any fresh fruit I can find and muesli and pretty much anything delicious I have in the cupboard. Today I topped mine with fresh blueberries, muesli and cacoa nibs which made it like a seriously amazing dessert... mmm!
