Firstly good afternoon and happy Monday!
Today commences a very exciting time for me. My website is now live!
So why Motiveater? Pretty simple really, when I first began living a healthier lifestyle, my love for cooking only increased. My friends and family often asked for recipes and encouraged me to start a health blog. For me I need no motivation to eat but the reasoning behind the name was to motivate those to try new foods, to get out of the comfort zone and maybe help others find the same love for cooking and eating healthy, nutritious meals as I did.
Many people preach that you should eat to fuel your body, eat to live and not live to eat.
You know what? I have to say I don’t wholeheartedly agree. I love food.. LOVE IT. How to explain how much I love food… hmmm… Well food and those I hold near and dear are both very strong competitors for my heart.
My love of food goes back to my childhood years. I have fond memories of spending weekends and holidays cooking with my mum and afternoons baking scones with my nan on the farm. Every big celebration revolved around food. Still today each time I call my mum we spend half the conversation talking about food.
Bringing it back to my original point, I don’t see anything wrong with living to eat as long as you’re good to your body. Eat a balanced diet, eat mindfully, enjoy it and your body will thank you.
