Makes approx. 16 balls


1 cup oats

1 tablespoon flax seeds

1/4 cup dates

1/4 cup Brazil nuts

1/2 cup boiling water

1 teaspoons cacao powder

1.5 scoops choc protein powder

1/4 cup cacao nibs

5-10 drops of peppermint oil or 1/4 teaspoon peppermint essence 


Place dates and brazil nuts in a cup with boiling water and soak for at least 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, blend oats and flax seeds in a food processor or blender until the consistency is fine like a flour. Empty the “oat flour” into a mixing bowl with the protein powder and cacao powder.

Add the dates, brazil nuts (and water they were soaking in) to the food processor and blend until slightly chunky or smooth. The texture is up to you. 

Add this mixture, the peppermint oil or essence and cacao nibs to the oat flour and mix together with your hands. If this is too dry, add a touch of water until the mixture is sticky in consistency. *It is important not to add too much water as it will make the mixture too sticky and will not roll properly.

Using your hands roll mixture into balls and place in fridge for at least 30 minutes. 

*Using food handling gloves makes this a much cleaner process!!
